Mercy Medical Center – New Hampton is taking new
steps to “awaken” residents of Chickasaw
County and the surrounding area. In place of holding
regular support group meetings for specific diagnoses,
Mercy will now be hosting Empowerment Workshops. The
purpose of the Empowerment Workshop is to support you
in creating your life, as you most want it.
These workshops are free and open to the public and
will benefit anyone who has been diagnosed with a chronic
or recurrent illness as well as their caregivers. It
is also open to anyone who wishes to change his or
her lifestyle for a healthier outcome. Whether you
are suffering from cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s,
heart disease, fibromyalgia, Parkinson’s or any
serious disease, you have the power to live a better
life and Mercy Medical Center is here to help.
Empowered people have freedom of choice and action.
This in turn enables them to better influence the course
of their lives and the decisions that affect them.
Empowerment Workshops will assist you with self-development,
personal growth and illness/disease prevention.
