Hospice of North Iowa provides the following bereavement services to patients and families and the public:

Understanding Grief and Loss
6 week small group grief seminar offered every fall and spring. Social worker and bereavement coordinator offer support and education on grief journey. No charge.

Monthly hospitality group
Support group meets once a month to support each other and learn about grief.

Individual grief counseling
By bereavement coordinator, as time permits. Call the hospice office at 641.349.4121, ext. 171 or 1.800.866.8001 to set up appointment.

Library with books, videos, and tapes that deal with all kinds of loss issues.
Topics to include death of child, parent, grandparent. Loss through illness, homicide, and suicide.

Camp Greentree
For children ages 9-16 who are grieving the death of a sibling, parent, grandparent, or friend. Camp is held at The Open Bible camp in Ventura one weekend each July Camp is held at Deer Valley Lodge in Ventura one weekend each June. Referrals can be made at any time to the Hospice office. There is a $25 fee per child for the weekend.
